My Story

My Story

I was Admitted at 25 weeks for preeclampsia with the intent of being admitted until baby matured more. For two weeks it was a game of titrating blood pressure medications. I was maxed out on two medications and the next step was the ICU on a drip. I hadn’t felt much movement and baby was having some decelerations so they did an ultrasound and found absent end diastolic flow. The plan was to monitor very closely but the decelerations became more frequent and longer in duration. The next thing I knew my husband and I were being taken back for an emergent c section. My baby girl born at 27 weeks and 3 days was 1pound and 11 ounces. Spent 82 days in the NICU and is now 10 months old and healthy! We’re so very thankful for the experienced staff that saved both me and my perfect baby girl!
