I had pre-eclampsia with both of my pregnancies and they were both as different as night and day.
The first pregnancy I felt fine physically, but all my test results were off the chart and the doctors struggled greatly to control my blood pressue. I ended up being induced at 30 weeks, but after 56 hours of non-progressing labor I had an emergency C-section. My daughter Lily was 2.5lbs at birth and stayed in the NICU for 59 days. She came home on Easter Sunday that year and has been nicknamed our Easter Lily.
My second pregnancy was "mild" as far as all the test results showed, but I felt like complete garbage the entire time. I begged and begged the doctors to take her early and was fully ready to accept a 2nd NICU stay, but she held on strong and arrived at 37 weeks. It was wonderful to be able to leave the hospital and actually take my baby with me this time.
