The year was 2013, I was 24 years old, and 26 weeks pregnant. I was living in Shreveport, LA at the time. This was my very first pregnancy and I was already pretty nervous. I had no family around, so I really didn't have a support system. On the night of December 15, 2013, I began to have chest pain. Throughout the night the pain had gotten worse. She caught up to size by the time she was a year old. She is now 8 years old and doing well. After I had her I was told that if I was to have another child the pregnancy wouldn't make it past 21 weeks. Luckily I have had 2 children since and carried them both to 40 weeks with no health issues.
My perfect daughter, Katie, gave birth to her first child just eight days before she passed away due to postpartum complications. Her deliver...
