I was originally due September 26th but God had other plans. On September 3rd I went in for a routine appointment and my blood pressure was super high and there protein in my urine. So they made me call my mom (I felt like a kid in trouble lol) to take me to triage to be tested for pre-eclampsia. I was terrified. I didn't want my baby to be a preemie. I didn't want him to have to be away from me in NICU. It was so much running through my mind.. Turns out I had it and they decided to admit me, put me on magnesium sulfate and induced me. I was terrified and felt really unprepared.
Luckily the day before I watched an informative live session and a lot of questions were answered. Well they started the induction with the pill Thursday night/Friday morning I stopped dilating at 4cm so I had to get pitocin Friday night and Saturday morning (exactly 37 weeks) at 859am my Sonshine made his debut at 6lbs 2 oz 19 in! It was scary as hell but it was worth it the moment they laid him on my chest! He doubled his birth weight at 2 months 12 lbs 9 oz! He's now 3 and thriving! We're both here and healthy!
