My MFM and hematologist both told me to stop taking the LDA a week before delivery b/c I was on Lovenox, as well. I was also told that b/c I knew I was having a c-section and I have some known blood clotting issues, it was best for me to discontinue. Just like saying the sky is blue, I guess the answer depends on your situation.

Amy,
I stopped taking it 3 days before delivery. My understanding though is that it is such a low dose, it doesn't do much to affect bleeding at delivery. (My very non-medical, non-doctor understanding I must add though!) I didn't resume it postpartum because really there was no reason - I do not have any blood clotting issues.

I took it all the way to delivery both times. I'll ask my ob when I see him on Tuesday and I can ask my peri this Friday.

Well, my doc said there is no reason to stop LDA - that it won't pose a problem in delivery. I will ask again when I go back next week to find out how long post partum I should take it.

I think it's kind of strange that everyone here was taken off of it at some point though - I wonder why she wants me to continue it?

Has anyone taken it all the way to delivery?

Feeling good for probably the last 2-3 weeks. It's been nice! I went through a period of extreme anxiety that was really awful and almost debilitating, so it's nice to feel normal!

My home BP was just 108/68 this morning, so that is looking good too. I have an appt today with the Dr., so I'll post an update this afternoon!

I think it's probably a good idea to ask your own doctor when you should stop the LDA. It's probably not a big deal, but every doc has their own preference. How are you feeling these days?

Congrats on 36 weeks! I was asked to stop one week prior to my scheduled c-section. I was also reassured that, if I went into labour before (which I did), it's ok - they can deal with it.
