Make a Difference with the Preeclampsia Foundation
Since its beginning, the Preeclampsia Foundation has depended on the generosity of people like you to carry out its mission of preventing maternal and perinatal mortality and serious illness resulting from preeclampsia, HELLP syndrome and other hypertensive disorders of pregnancy. At the Preeclampsia Foundation, volunteers are essential to executing our vision, giving generously of their time and talent to serve in a variety of ways. Here are just a few ways you can get involved:
- Distribute our health education materials to hospitals, clinics and other organizations and businesses in your community;
- Coordinate professional or public education programs that address the basics of earlier diagnosis, better management and healthier outcomes;
- Plan and implement awareness and fundraising events, like our annual Awareness Walks;
- Coordinate any number of smaller fundraisers such as golf tournaments or even bake sales;
- Participate in public relations efforts to improve health services for women and babies by writing letters to, calling, or visiting your local media;
- Join or start a local group to support one another and to accomplish even more toward these objectives;
- Participate in our patient support services, either online or offline, supporting the newly diagnosed or recently delivered;
- Provide assistance with fulfillment of Marketplace merchandise orders, sending
"Tribute" cards, and other office tasks at the Preeclampsia Foundation's National Office in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Volunteers are vital to the success of our mission. If you are interested in finding out about specific volunteer opportunities in your local area, contact your
