I have one of those pill boxes and used it when I only had to take meds 2 times a day (it has morning and evening boxes). Once I went to 3 times a day is when I started having issues.
Plus, by the time I remember that I've forgotten to take my meds it's a couple hours later and my BP is already through the roof. UGH!

Be careful with the pill dispensers if they aren't childproof. Other wise it is a great idea if you can't remember if you've take your meds.

I had to go out and get one of those days of the week med dispensers because I couldn't remember if I had taken my meds. Now, I just look at the pill box day, and take it if/when I forget.

I got a digital watch with an alarm but it is so big I took it off yesterday so I missed the alarm. @@ My husband has a clock radio that has 2 alarm settings - maybe I can just set his 2nd one to go off at 2:30.
I still get headaches about every other day but not the horrible ones I had for the first 2 weeks PP. And I don't think I still have swelling (though I haven't tried my wedding ring back on yet). My pressures when I do take meds on time are totally labile from a low of like 113/69 to 145/92.

I am horrible at remembering to take any medication. My husband usually has to remind me. What works for me is my cell phone actually. It has a really neat alarm clock thing on it so I set that and I always have my phone with me so the alarm helps me out. Besides the forgetting mid day meds how are you feeling?

When I first had to take a mid-day pill I wore a digital watch with an alarm. So the beep of the alarm would remind me it was time to take my pill.

I'm not the BP expert, but I would suspect that taking your meds on time will be very helpful. Many women take weeks and months to get their pressures to go down to a closer to normal level. Can you set a cell phone alarm, or an alarm clock to remember when to take them. Are your pressures ok when you do remember to take them on time? any other problems/symptoms like swelling or headaches?

what should I do?

Ok, besides remembering to always take my meds exactly on time what should I do...
I am 4 weeks PP & taking labetalol 100 3 times a day: like at 7 am, about 2:30 pm and again about 10 pm. I take 60 mg procardia with my bedtime labetalol. I added the procardia at 4 days PP after a trip to the ER with BP of 168/112.
Remembering to take the mid day meds on time is my downfall. I have missed taking them on time a few times and when I remember about 5 pm my BP is like 160/102. It happened again today. :(
So is this normal or should I be concerned that my BP gets *so* high if I miss a dose by just a couple hours?
