Thank you everyone! I am so happy to have found this place. Despite all that my husband and I have lost, I still feel fortunate that I am able to move forward. We worked so hard to allow ourselves to experience what I hope was a healthy grieving process that is still evolving. We've all asked the "why me" question. If it had to happen, I accept that it had to happen to me. I have had great support from my family, health care providers, and of course the ladies on this forum.
I've come a long way in the last year and I believe that the grieving process is a lifelong journey. Some days I am still struck by the callousness of the world, and most days I am grateful for what and who I have around me. One year is a milestone of many. I am hopeful that my luck will turn around.

Happy birthday Francisco. June 3 is the day that my childhood friend died of leukemia, and she was one of the sweetest people I've ever known. I will keep you and your amazing loving parents - and the parents and so many of the other babies here whose lives have been all too short - in mind now when I remember her.

Happy Birthday baby Blue! I am so glad you were able to be together, you have truly come a long way in your healing. We also took the day off Benjamins birthday(April 28th). It was bittersweet as well. We talked and then my parents,in laws, sister, grandma cousins nieces and nephews came over. We released ballonns and each wrote something on them. We had cake and although we didn't sing happy birthday Max did light one candle so we could all make a wish and let the kids blow them out.
I read your posts and have learned alot through you and your journey of loss, ttc and now being pregnant. We are hoping to try after August. August would be one year since we lost Ben,he lived for 4 months in the nicu. It has been a long year . You are an inspiration to me to grieve in the healthiest way I can,to love and remember my beautiful baby and at the same time continue to move foward,to live and to have hope. Thinking of you and your family, sending love. xo

Was thinking of you, Frank, and Blue yesterday. Sounds like it was a bittersweet day. He will always be the one who made you a mother. Wish I could hug you!

Jasmin, I started crying while reading your note. I am so glad that the two of you were able to spend that time together. When I was pregnant, I dreamt of streamers, cupcakes, and laughter for Mason's first, now that everything has happened, I would want to celebrate the anniversary of his birth just as you and your husband celebrated Francisco's. It just seemed so peaceful and filled with so much love. You are such a strong and inspiring mama! I also can't wait to see some pics of Baby Snowflake in November!

Happy birthday, Baby Blue.
Jasmin, you are an inspiration for those of us that are just beginning this journey. I hope you, dh, and Snowflake have a long, uneventful pregnancy and we get to see pictures in November.
