New and Intro
Re : New and Intro
Welcome! This board is great for support. I am 5 months post partum and have had horrible anxiety and health obsession since my pre-e so I can definitely relate. It was all very traumatic for me, as it is for a lot of women. Feel free to email me anytime!

Welcome.
This is a great place to read up and realize that you are not alone.
My best advice to you in thinking about another pregnancy is to find a great MFM that you trust and educate yourself.
Take care.

Welcome Jamie, I am sorry you had such a terrible experience with your last pregnancy, many of us can relate. I am glad you found the forum too.
New and Intro
I just came across this board! So glad I found it. My DS is 17.5 months old now. I had a multitude of issues during pregnancy, but the most frightening of all being BP issues. I have had diagnosed hypertension since 15 years old. Never medicated, but controlled with food and exercise. Once I hit 20 weeks in my pregnancy things went really south with my BP. I started lebatalol at this point, and continued to increase dosage through the remainder of my pregnancy. I think at the end I was taking 600mg 2x per day, maybe it was 3x a day (gee can't rememeber now!) I was induced at 37w6d due to Pre-E. I also developed a hematoma that required surgery immediately following delivery. All in all my experience was very traumatic for me. Now almost a year and a half later, I still remain on BP medicine, I am on norvasc now instead of lebatalol. I had to go on Zoloft for about 5 months because of the severe anxiety and depression I suffered as a result of my situation. I have been blessed with a happy and healthy child though, and realize how lucky I am to have him here and healthy!! I found this board as I started to do some searching about Pre-E risks with subsequent pregnancies. Part of me is TERRIFIED to TTC again because of the risks of something going wrong again. At any rate, hello, and glad I found this great board!!
