They gave me a shot of some kind of painkiller before I was put in an ambulance and transported hospitals to a level III NICU hospital for delivery. I have no idea what it was, but it took the URQ pain away after just a few minutes, and I never had the pain again, even though I didn't deliver until hours later.
I felt awful for days (maybe a week) before I delivered. I didn't feel better until after they gave me decadron a few days after delivery. I felt okay for a few days, then I felt like he#& after I was discharged. I started to get better about 6 weeks after delivery (retained placenta did NOT help), and it took me over a year to feel normal. My doctor said that my liver was still "a little angry" a few months after delivery, and I can't remember when the pain went away. It came back a few times last year when I had respiratory or stomach bugs. I finally feel healthy and fit now.
I only had URQ pain one night and that was 2 days before emergency c-section and then it stopped. My only outward symptoms were mild headache, and swelling. I did feel sick after delivery but that was due to magnesium. once that was done i felt fine. I had severe PE but only beginning stages of HELLP though.

did you feel better? About 5 minutes after I delivered, the URQ pain was gone. Anybody else experience this? I stil had the placenta in cause the drs wanted us to hold Darren while she died with just us 2 in the room.
