Jenndola, I see my MFM Monday Aug 3rd. We are very excited to try again! I can't figure any way out to make myself feel better so this is the only way. My ob gave us the green light to try and conceive now. She also wanted us to get baselines on all my bp,blood, etc. so we are going to do all that and get all that together for Monday. I monitor my bp 3 x a day and they are going to retest me for LA Monday. I am going to see what the MFM says Monday about us TTC. I'm sure he won't have a problem about it but they just want to get all my baselines in and a 24 hour urine. I didn't have any of this done last time and I also had 3 miscarriages before I had Darren. All of these tests are going to be new to me so I may need some of you experinced moms to hold my hand LOL but my pregnancy tests did not come with a "what could go wrong" manual. I even ripped the box open and it just had the pregnancy test instructions in it. LOL just kidding.
I hope I can get furuther along and have surviving babies in my future pregnancies. I have done TONS of research on the net and listening to all of you. You all on here are a BLESSING! Thanx so much! {{{{{{{{Bear hugs to all of you!}}}}}}}

I had HELLP in my second pregnancy (first and third were miscarriages) at 19.5 weeks, but went on to have 2 successful pregnancies (by successful, I don't mean full-term). I had started to trend toward HELLP in my 4th (elevated liver enzymes), but my membranes ruptured before I had significant problems. In my 5th, I developed mild preeclampsia, my membranes ruptures (see a trend?) and then I developed post-partum PE.

So basically...I did have repeat PE, but my pregnancies were very carefully monitored, and I'm incredibly grateful to have my 2 boys. And nobody has EVER told me not to have any more children. If you're considering another, I'd find a perinatologist (Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist) who has experience with hypertensive pregnancies, and do a preconceptual visit. It'll help you find out where you're at and make an informed decision.

I had HELLPS my first pregnancy. 2nd pregnancy ended at 6 weeks...ectopic. 3rd pregnancy no HELLPS. My first dr told me not to have another child. He moved. I asked other doctors and they said to go ahead. My current doctor watched me closely...more ultrasounds, more bloodwork, etc. I was more educated about HELLPS and preeclampsia, and was watched...so I felt nervous, but good about it.

I have been pregnant twice...had HELLP with the second and am TTC again. They found an underlying disorder though that they "believe" they can treat.
You will get mixed answers, some doctors say ok some say no...

Just curious. I am being told that after the second pregnancy you have HELLP, you should not attempt to get pregnant again. I have only experinced it once.
