You know I had a horrible Dr. with my Jasmine (military dr. eww) But I got pregnant with my son clay in another state and had a civilan dr. He was awesome. I did get PE with both pregnencies but he told me that he wanted me to at least wait 5 years before trying again after I asked him if I should try again. I can not believe that Dr. said that to you it makes me angry.

Thank you for the support!! We have found a new OB in the next town over, the nice thing is she is very good with any high risk pregnancy. We are happy to have found a new OB only 20 minutes away.

Doesn't sound worthy of being your doctor anyway! :)

His bedside manner stinks but think of it this way - at least you don't have to deal with his obvious lack of understanding!

The very best finding another!

That is horrible. The doctor should tell you the facts, (like you don't know!) and refer to a specialist.
I am sorry that your doctor did that to you. Deciding whether to try again is such a big deal. I would be running from that Dr. too.

Wow! That is horrible! It is horrible at any time to say, but I would understand a *tiny* bit if you had it at like 18 weeks or something, but even then... lots of people have it once! That is just bad, I guess it is good that he won't see you, who would want to deal with that kind of idiocy!

Oh yeah that makes perfect sense...to force you to make a deeply personal and emotional decision on a whim so he can grace you with his presence to perform your pap smear!? You have got to be kidding me.....

some doctors are idiots

That's crazy! The doctor sounds like a quack! You are better off with a new OB, imagine what he would say if you did show up pregnant. Good luck!

Wow, that is awful. I hope you told him off and ran away as fast as you possibly could! I'm sure there is a competent OB out there who will love to have you as a patient, and possibly even help you get through another pregnancy. If nothing else, help you make a good decision for your health.
