You should really ask your doctor about dosages for any medications, including vitamins, minerals, or natural supplements. Everyone is different, and more is not always better. And I hear ya on the fish burps...yuck! Let us know what you find out about the flaxseed derived omega 3, if you go that route!
Omega-3 doesn't have to come from fish. You might try a flaxseed-derived omega-3 and it shouldn't upset your stomach like that. The best types are the standardized and it should say standardized somewhere on the label. Flaxseed is safe and is in many cereals, as a hot cereal itself and as a binder in place of eggs in many products. Ask your doc if that's something he would like you to try.
does anyone know how much omega 3 we should be taking. my dr gave me a prenatal with it in there but it was making me sick so i stopped taking it. he wants me to still take the omega 3 but the previous pills i had gave me horrible fish burps and indigestion. i bought these Life Fitness Everyday Omega 3 with 120 mg of it in every chew. it says o take one a day. it doesnt seem like enough to me. i also researched NOrdic Omega 3 but it says not to take if you are on blood thinners. anyone know what is the right amount or what to take?
