Hi Lisa,
I've been doing some reading on csections and from what i've ascertained it looks like a good idea to wait at least one year between deliveries when talking csections to allow for your uterus to heal and reduce the risk of uterine rupture.

Heparin is a fairly strong blood thinner. Unless you've been diagnosed with an underlying clotting disorder (and if your peri didn't mention heparin, you most likely haven't been) there's no proven benefit to using it.

Hello and welcome Lisa. I had an emergency c-section in December, I was 27 weeks with Kaitlyn. I was diagnosed with severe PE and HELLP. My OB wanted us to wait 6 months and the Peri wanted us to wait a year. My husband and I decided if all my blood work for underlying disorders came back negative, that we would try at the 6 month mark. I am 35, and we felt we could not wait.
I continued to take a prescription prenatals while ttc. Once we became pregnant I started a baby 81mg aspirin, 1200 of calcium, folic acid, and 1000 vit c.
I am currently 16weeks, 4 days pregnant and things are going well.
I am sure those that are more expoerenced will jump in here later.
Best of luck to you and your husband.

Aspirn... c-sections... just a bunch of questions.

Hi Everyone,

This is my first entry in this topic. I like everyone on here, is getting very itchy to hold a baby of my own and I'm just preparing myself for that time. My high risk Dr has told me to wait for at least another 3 months before try again, but I've noticed that everyone has been told a different amount of time... however I haven't convince my husband that we should try even in 3 months time. He's thinking years away. So, I won't be falling pregnant anytime soon. But I do have a few questions for all of you, just to get a idea of what other people have been told and why. Thus I can talk to my specialist and get everything sorted out.

Firstly, what have people been told to take during their pregnancy?? My specialist mentioned baby aspirn... but he didn't say whether I have to take it once I fall pregnant or whether I should be taking while trying to conceive?? What are your thoughts? I've read some people have it after conception, others during...

Next he didn't mention herpin, doesn't anyone know who should take that? Should I mention it to him? What about the calcium??

Secondly, I've noticed that some of you have been told to wait at least 2 cycles before trying again. Did you have emergency c-sections? or did you just have a natural birth??

Sorry I'm not writing directly to specific people, but I can't remember where I read about these things. I can't wait to try again, but I want to give my next baby and my body the best possible chance of getting through this next time.

Thanks, Lisa.
