#3 is doing pretty good, still keep getting the sick feelings several times a day... and allergies, other than that we are pretty good. Just tired as can be all the time. next week Whitney goes to school every day too... I am so gonna dread that. I have to get up early and stay up every morning then.. (not a morning person at all)
I go back to the dr on Sept 1st. Seems so long. Oh well, checking BP here and it been doing good, except one time this morning ( I had to retake it) I sneezed while it was taking and it was like 147/98, I waited a few minutes and redone it.. it was fine..lol. Sneezing puts a ton of pressure on your veins, I didnt know that..LOL I thought that was funny how much it made a diff.
Gotta run.. Time to eat.. ;o)
I wish I could eat all i wanted without gaining, I just look at it and I think 5lbs goes on me anymore.

Wyatt's EI Evaluation
Re : Wyatt's EI Evaluation
Sounds as though Jai and Wyatt are to peas of the same pod ;o)
Too funny.
And Whitney sounds like she's just a tiny thing.
My DH was a bean pole in all his baby pix without any complications, now all he does is eat.
And of course he's one of those who never gains an ounce. :op
And your #3 - how's it going?

Re : Wyatt's EI Evaluation
In all my associations with others whose children have delays, unless it is severe or in more than a few skills...very few peds catch developmental delays. I am glad you moms are on top of it. Take care. Keep the updates coming.

Re : Wyatt's EI Evaluation
is the elecare something like the peptamin jr Wyatt is on?? His is for kids 1-10 with GI problems.. and right now he cant eat some of the things Im sure he would like to... he is not suppose to have any kind of milk products until they figure out if he actually has an allergy to it or if it is just the reflux.
Wyatt also loves noodles and bread and cheerios.. eats tons of those. Doesnt like juice too well but loves the milk as it is vanilla flavored. Kinda sounds like Wyatt and Jai would get along really well...lol
When it comes to the bottles, whew .. when Wyatt was first born, she wanted a bottle too.. she was 4 then...lol. We kept telling her that bottles were for babies and that she was a big girl and got to drink out of a cup and he couldnt for a long time. Now she will share her cups of water with him.. too cute he will get a drink then she will..
Good for her that she is trying diff things, I have a problem getting Whitney to try new stuff too. She is 5 and weghs 40, Im not complaining about her weight, but for her height she is super skinny. She is like 44in tall.
It seems time flies when pg..

Re : Wyatt's EI Evaluation
Bingo! Time for a new ped.
Sometimes the mom has to be smarter than the doc, just not to an uncomfortable point.
I think your a great mom for doing what's best for Wyatt!
And Jai..
Well, she has her issues. I don't want to discourage you though. I think every case is a snowflake (being each is so diff).
Jai still lives on 40 oz of formula (elecare) and hardly eats.
Noodles overcooked are a fave, cheetos, ketchup, diet coke, country white bread out of the bag. That's her only foods.
But it's better than nothing I tell myself.
We don't have a tummy tube and she's trying harder everyday to "try" new things.
She tried my salad yesterday and I nearly fainted! :o)
Just gotta' know that this is fixable. I hope when her sister comes she notes that bottles are for babies....but we'll see.
Oh and thanks for asking - I'm 26 wks today!!!!!!

Re : Wyatt's EI Evaluation
yes it can be frustrating and I am hoping this 2 weeks pass quickly as he still doing this and seems to be getting worse actually at times, dont know if it is just me or what. I am just glad that Nancy suggested I get him tested. His peds didnt think anything was wrong and when the people from EI called them to get a script for the treatment the ped called me and wanted to know WHAT was wrong. Said they had down on his chart from the 12mo checkup that all was fine. After me telling them about the fact that he would get choked when drinking from a cup or his bottle some too. I have really got to start checking the other peds in the area and change them soon.
Thanks I may give you a holler one day.
how is Jai doing now?? and you too, how far along are you now??

Re : Wyatt's EI Evaluation
Donna,
It's like hearing about my Jai all over.
I completely understand what your being told with Wyatt.
It's frustrating 100%.
But the good news here is that it's been recognized and going to be treated.
The sooner the better.
If you ever need to talk, I'm always here. drop me a line.
And congrats on a BORING 12 wks thus far! :o)
Lots of love to you and Wyatt!

Wyatt's EI Evaluation
The lady I spoke with and that did the eval said that his gagging on food and drink (he did worse there than he has here) was very concerning to her and the fact that he will only eat several bites from a spoon of any type of food then refuse anymore from a spoon. I wont have all the details for about 2 wks. But she did say that it would be therapy at least 1x a week for appox. 6mo. (more or less)
So now I get to log one of his meals a day to let her know exactly how he is doing thru meals. This is also trying to get him to eat food from a spoon again.
She said she is pretty sure that he is probably either still got pain or associating the pain he has with reflux with eating foods from a spoon. Therefore, we have to try and reassociate eating to no pain (or something like that is what she said) (pg brain dont remember things well at all)
On another note, we will most likely be moving very soon too, to a trailer that is quite bigger than what we have and will be easier Wyatt proofed. (things not piled up for 5 yrs there...LOL) It isnt but a few miles from where we live, tried to find something close so I didnt have to change Whitney to a diff school.
I am 12wks today and so far so good, I dont go back to OB till sept 1. but that is just 3wks from last appt. I think they will be seeing me more often since they told me from the get go that I was considered high risk. (I like that)
I think that is all that is going on at the moment.
