We are not to this yet but will likely eventually end up here. There is a blog I read frequently- the little girl is currently having serial casting done after botox injections.

I have emailed Shannon, the author of this blog, about various CP issues and she is quite helpful and quick to respond. You might try emailing her through her blogger profile.

Amie, The casting you mention is new to me. That being said.. I'm not much help.

Sending best wishes to you and the little ones.

ankle casting

Has anyone's kids had to have casts for toe walking?

Alyssa doesn't really toe walk but she doesn't walk evenly on her foot and doesn't put all pressure on her heels, so the Physical Therapist has brought up serial casting (like done for toe walking) to stretch her tendon. It is 5 wks of casting plus braces after that. They mentioned that stretching exercises are not typically effective.

Just wondering if anyone has been through this. Thanks in advance for any info!
