I hope that it was a lab miscalculation. I am obviously not a doctor, but I would think a lab value so high a doctor has never seen it before, would be making her REALLY sick, not just fussy. I hope you get the results soon and that they are normal. Please keep us posted.
I got a call from the pediatrician's office today. My daughter had not been feeling well and I took her in (nothing respiratory like the usual stuff, but tired, vomit, weird color poop, fussy). They took blood yesterday. Today, the nurse called me at work and said that one of the liver enzymes was "off the charts. It's so high that the doctor thinks it could be a lab error. He's never seen a level this high." She told me to leave and immediately take my daughter to the lab and have more blood drawn to re-run the test. I'm waiting for the results, which may come tonight, but probably tomorrow. I have had lab errors in the past (my first blood draw when I was pregnant - they switched my blood with someone else's and we were counseled about the possible death of my unborn baby due to a condition we found out 4 months later wasn't mine but was some other poor woman's who I don't know if they ever tracked down), so I know it can happen. But I'm very worried and praying that this is nothing.
