what a relief. Let's hope those numbers drop nicely over the coming weeks. I can't believe how much mayhem viral infections wreak on the body.

FINALLY, the ped called. We had expected results Monday and this waiting has aged me. The primary source of her ALP elevation is bone, with liver being elevated but not as predominatly as bone. All other tests came back normal. My ped consulted with a specialist at the Children's Hospital and she said that as long as my daughter is not showing any physical symptoms (falling down, bone or joint pain, etc.), this could just be one of those benign unexplained elevations perhaps related to her viral infection. We're retesting in 2 months to see if her ALP levels are decreasing. If they are, and she stays symptom free, that is what they think it is. We're taking that right now as very good news.

Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers - you don't know how much I appreciate it.

First let me say, Happy Belated Birthday to Samantha!!

Also you both are in my thoughts and prayers! I can only imagine how much fear you are dealing with right now. Have you heard anything yet?
