Mine haven't hit it yet and they eat more than I do! I agree with everyone else - you are doing a wonderful job...try not to worry. [:)]

Mikey was born at 29weeks and 6 days and he just hit 30lbs this past week wearing jeans though.... So he is really close. He turned 3 December 29th.

Sorry to be late chiming in...........Ethan, for his part, is approximately 22 lbs. and just turning 2 this week! As for Andrew, I'd have to look that up at home and see when he passed 30 lbs, but I will do that later tonight.

But, just to consider, Andrew was never officially called an IUGR baby (2 lb. 15 oz. at 29w/6d) but Ethan was. So, it might be that only comparing your DDs growth to other IUGR babies is a fair comparison.......does that make sense? Either way, sounds like she's doing well and that means YOU are doing well too! I know it's worrisome, sorry that you have to listen to people say "you don't feed her enough". [:(!]

Dylan doesn't do well with meals...now snacks on the go (at least on his own two feet while he's running from room to room), they are wonderful. I know how frustrating those comments can be. Dylan is pretty tall (Daddy is 6'4") and he only weighs 22 pounds (at 17 months) and people always ask why he's so skinny. HELLO?? He's 32 inches tall! That's almost three feet and not even two years of age.

I personally wouldn't be concerned. You know that you're feeding your child, and it obviously seems to be quite healthy food choices. You're doing a wonderful job MOM! Afterall, how many moms can say that their two year old is 13 times heavier than she was when she was born??

I think she's totally normal! Evan was born at 40 weeks right on the nose, he is 2 yrs 7 months and as of last week weighed 28.6 pounds at the doctor. He doesn't do well at meals either. Such is life. He eats when he's hungry.

Kirsten was 36 weeks and was about 5 when she hit 30lbs. She'll eat when she is ready. I think her weight is reasonable.

My full term adopted Russian son is 4, and wieghs 31 lbs. He was 8 lbs at birth. He is pretty average size I would say, a little on the thin side. I think 27 pounds at 2 1/2 sounds very reasonable.

Nathanial was 5 before he got up to 30 lbs. When Jonathan was 2 1/2 he weighed about 26 lbs, such that they were within 5 lbs of each other.
Is it your doctors that are concerned about the amount of food?

Caitlyn has had a weight issue since she was born. She was 2lbs 7ozs at birth and was diagnosed with IUGR. She was a little over 6lbs when she was released sixty days later. She did continue to gain weight but had some really frustrating times. She is now 2 1/2 and weighs around 26 to 27 pounds. I am just tired of hearing that I don't feed her enough, etc. The child eats when she is hungry. I try and get something in her as often as I can. Apples, bananas, bread, cheese, etc. She just does not do well with "meals". I was just wondering if anyone had a 30weeker with similar issues? The other two year old girls I have seen and Caitlyn has met are not much bigger than she is.
