Connor started at 7 1/2 months, several teeth came in over the course of 2-3 weeks then teething seemed to stall until she was over 13 months.

Here is a cool chart regarding the order/ages of getting teeth:
http://anbesol.com/baby/chart.asp

From what I have read, getting teeth tends to be genetic...if you were late to get teeth, then your baby might late as well. My girls got both bottom teeth at 6 months adjusted age and currently have 12 teeth plus 2 incisors poking their little sharp white heads out on top. They got them in the order either at the same time or with 1-2 weeks of each other....they are ridiculously identical!!!

Gabe started teething at about 3 months, but no nubs showing through yet. I suspect it'll be a while before we see actual teeth. We just get to enjoy the lead-up for an extra-long time.

Stephen got his first 4 teeth at 11 months (8 months adjusted) He had all his teeth by the time he was 20 months.

As for the gap, i have a gap between my top two teeth, not like a Madonna gap but enough that is it noticable...we never had it closed since i never had a real need for braces

Gap here too! Sorry to say that I gave my boy (Nathanial) his gap. He recently had his frenum removed (some extra skin between his teeth to his lip) so that hopefully when his adult teeth come in they might grow together. I had the frenum removed after my braces. Anyway, hope he's not too scarred from everyone thinking he has a tooth missing...

No need to worry on the teeth front!! 3 of my 14 non-preemie, perfectly normal nieces and nephews didn't get any teeth until 11-14 months. My DD got her first tooth at 10 months (~ 8 1/2 adjusted). They say that when a child gets his/her baby teeth, timing wise (early, late, etc.) generally corresponds to when they get their adult teeth.

Christine,

Dylan has the same gap that you described. His is closing (slowly) as the other teeth come in. However, (like Erin) we're hoping that his grown up teeth will fix this problem. Otherwise, he will be joining Alex.

CHristine,
Alex's gap never has filled in, but we suspect that it will when he gets his adult teeth. If not, its braces to close it LOL
