What a huge milestone for us! The switch to formula has made such a huge difference for us. He's gained weight, he's more alert, he's tracking with his eyes, and generally acting like a "normal" newborn, finally, after 11 weeks (3 weeks adj)! Finally, we can let our breath out, so to speak. I really feel like for the first time since 10/3, I can enjoy my baby :)

When I look back on the last 11 weeks, I am at the same time so sad and angry for all we lost in terms of "normalcy" and joy in his birth. I know there are many here who can relate to those feelings. I know in time they will fade, but right now its still a little raw. DOn't get me wrong, I am thrilled he's on the right track, but even so . . .

Warm wishes to all for a happy chanukah, merry christmas, and happy new years!
