Some studies have shown a link between preeclampsia and development of high blood pressure later in life. It appears that you are at a higher risk of having problems, but the exact risk is hard to quantify.

after pregnancy pre eclampsia

Postby lexmark » Fri Mar 05, 2004 11:27 am

I have a 2 year old, and I had pre eclampsia when I was pregnant. Someone told me that because I had this condition during pregnancy I have higher chances of developing high blood preassure and other medical conditions in the future. Is this true?
