Your risk of having it again is less than 5%. At present, there is nothing that can prevent it. You need to have close monitoring in subsequent pregnancy for early detection of preeclampsia.

HELLP SYndrome

Postby rachelgrace » Tue Feb 17, 2004 04:46 pm

In December 2003, I was 33 weeks pregnant and my baby was stillborn as a result of the HELLP syndrome. What can I do to prevent it from happening again? Are there any tests that can be done before my next pregnancy, or during, to know if it will happen again? What can I do? Thanks. Rachel
