I've had it several times. I'm currently in my 8th pregnancy, 6th time with preeclampsia. :(

The good news is there is NO reason to think you'll get it again. The bad news is there is NO reason to think you won't. It seems to hit with no rhyme or reason, and (in me, at least) doesn't have a pattern as to when it begins.

I'm a three-timer. With my first, I had severe PE and I believe undiagnosed HELLP syndrome at 35 weeks and delivered within 48 hours. My second was mild PE at 37 weeks and delivered within 48 hours. The third doesn't really compare because I had twins. I was diagnosed with PIH at 22 weeks, mild PE at 31 weeks, hospitalized with moderate PE at 33 weeks, delivered at 36 weeks, and turned severe post partum.
Wife to Brett 6/30/02
Mom to Ethne Joy 10/12/03, 35 weeks, severe PE
Mom to Catie Grace 12/8/06, 37 weeks, mild PE
Mom to Riley Faith and Gavin Arthur 7/7/09, 36 weeks, PIH 22 weeks, PE 31 weeks, severe post partum PE
Mom to four angels Grace (12/15/05), Ian (7/28/08), Declan (5/23/15), and Lucy (11/24/15)

The short answer is yes, it's certainly possible and has happened to women before.

I had preeclampsia twice and from early indicators such as my overall hemodynamics, cardiac output, etc. looked like I was destined to get it again. I was seeing a specialist who, for my particular case, suggested atenolol to normalize my CO. Went all the way to 39 weeks with only a slight rise in BP at the very end.

With repeated cases, it's a good idea to see a specialist for interconception care, and to check for underlying disorders.

I know it can be so crazy not knowing if it'll happen again. Keep us posted how things go for you!

Has anyone gotten preeclampsia three times?

I had 2 pregnancies both with preeclampsia. One at 28 weeks severe preeclampsia emergency c section baby died 5 weeks later.
The second pregnancy I had I developed preeclampsia again, but was able to bring myself to 34w6d.
Could I develop again in a 3rd pregnancy? Deliver early as well?
