Re: 30 weeks!
I totally get that! I want to be the size of a whale with this kid. My friends are praying that I will be gloriously miserable late in pregnancy! But like you say, a 5 pounder would feel like I got my wish.

Re: 30 weeks!
Thanks everyone... I can't even explain how much I want to love on this baby and take him home with us( I know you all understand!).
danielsmom, yes, Mason was growth restricted. They said that he was the size of a 26 weeker at 30 weeks. He wasn't what I would consider to be a micropreemie by any means, but he was so so tiny. I keep telling everyone I want a 10 pounder, but honestly if this one is 5lbs I will feel like he is a giant because I don't know any better!

Re: 30 weeks!
Look at those precious cheeks! So happy for you, and glad to hear everything is right on track. Question - Was Mason growth restricted? My son really was, and I'm hoping for a different scenario this time.
It was such a struggle and stress (though I'd do it all again) with feeding/measuring/weighing in the NICU and at home. They put so much neosure powder and human milk fortifier in my milk, thinking I wasn't supplying enough fat and calories, later to find out by analyzing my milk that it was the highest caloric and fat content they had on record! Poor kid was getting a milk shake and they finally figured out why he was having trouble digesting it.

30 weeks!
i just wanted to update on how everything is going for us so far. I hit 30 weeks today and I saw my MFM this morning. My blood pressure has been holding strong and consistant in the 120s/70s. Little boy is measuring spot on and has an estimated weight of 3 lbs 5oz which is in the 40th percentile (so yay for no IUGR). He finally flipped head down and the doctor said if he stays that way he might be inclined to let me have a trial of labor, especially if my blood pressure continues to cooperate. I have been keeping up with my daily lovenox shots and lda. The shots don't hurt too bad anymore, but I am running out of places to jab because my skin is stretched out so much.
I am getting super nervous because my last pregnancy ended at 30 weeks 3 days, which is so close to right now. I am trying really hard to not get too anxious and raise my blood pressure and to just appreciate every day that I have, but man is it really hard when you know the absolute worst that can happen.
Anyways, he is the most precious looking little thing and we got some adorable shots from the ultrasound. I hope and pray he is our take-home baby!
