I had my son at 23 weeks and he weighed 1 lb 4 oz and his head was small too. He still has a small head 5 percentile and he is fine. good luck :)

I know that both of my girls were born with their heads smaller then their bodies (didn't look off in any way)- and from a giving birth stand point I was thrilled. I would trust your doctor on this one.

Take care.

23 weeks ultrasound

Postby amandaoasis » Mon Jan 30, 638936 3:02 am

I had my second growth scan today. Baby girl is right on for all measurements (1 lb 3 oz) except the head. It seems she is about two weeks behind and in the 2nd percentile in that category. So now I am worried of course, although my peri was not worried. She thought that the baby's position (breech at the moment) causes smaller more oval heads. Anyone ever heard of this or have any stories to share?
