I had a headache up until I was about 16 weeks along... I think that's about when my bp started dropping also. I doubt that they are related because my bp was never THAT high... 138/85 was my highest 1st trimester reading. For me, I think it was the horrible spring & pollen counts combined with my going off my allergy meds.

I should know this, but when does the dip usually start? I'm 11 1/2 weeks and even though my BPs are good right now, I really don't want to up my meds and be a zombie again.

Also, I forgot to ask my doc last time, but I'm sure someone here knows. Are we supposed to worry about headaches at this early stage? I have a terrible one, but BPs are great 120/70. It's too early for PE. I'm just assuming its hormones.

Thanks,
Cynthia

I'm totally with you on burning mine!!! I'll be glad when that stress is gone. However, I have been loving the 2nd tri dip... now that I'm going to be 28 weeks tomorrow, I dread the numbers popping up.

I LOVE taking my blood pressure now, because seeing 100s/60s instead of the 160s/90s while pregnant makes me happy!

Oh good, then I'm not the only one. ;) I know its necessary but I think when this is over, I'm going to burn mine.

Thanks for the welcome. It's nice to find a place where everyone understands our worries.

Ditto. I am not chronic hypertensive but am so ready to pack mine up and BE DONE. And I have to track it and report it so I have papers all over the place covering 9+ months of tracking. And I have two monitors (my personal and one rented to me) and am so neurotic sometimes I check both!

Bleck! At the end of the day though it helps me to know what is going on at home so there are no surprises at the doc's office!

I hate taking it too- but seems like a necessary evil. I take mine 3 times a day- morning afternoon and evening. If I am feeling off or headache, then I will take it just to be sure. But I try to stick to a schedule so I don't drive myself too crazy.

Add me to the list of those that got sick & tired of watching their BP like a HAWK!! I took it 3x a day during this past pregnancy, and it got old really fast. I hated worrying about my BP constantly, is it too low/too high? It got to the point where I didn't even want to leave the house and leave my BP machine behind, I was afraid my BP would get high and I would have no way of checking it---!!

Congratulations on your pregnancy, and I hope those BP numbers don't drive you wacky :)
