Any sort of jump like that is reason for extra monitoring. Keep on top of your bps and symptoms and mention any new ones to your OB. Hopefully it is just a 3rd trimester thing, but it is worth keeping on top of.

Take care.

Would you be concerned?

Postby char_ » Tue Feb 16, 2010 10:17 am

I havn't posted much on this forum this pregnancy because I havn't had to, but lately some of my blood pressure readings have me concerned. They've jumped from an average of 120/75 to 135/85 with a reading this morning of 133/87. I know they are still in normal range but the trend is worrisome.

My OB did mention that blood pressures will go up a little in the third trimester (i'm almost 32 weeks) but does this seem like too much of a jump? I've also been having some issues at work with back pain, do you think that could cause an increase?

Thanks for any response.

Also, I forgot to add that my BP will go down lower if I relax for a bit.
