Congratulations!!! I love the name.

My BP stayed high for a few weeks (160s/100s), and the doctor didn't see a need to medicate. One school of thought is that it can take up to 2 months to return to normal.

Congratulations! Welcome Meredith! I love that name! Sheri you did awesome - congrats for that as well.

My BP also stayed high for several weeks - they tweeked my meds and off I went. But, then again, I was in a little pain so the doctor said that too could make it go up (but usually not significantly).

I hope you are feeling better and enjoying that baby! What do the twins think of her???

My bps' were still high after delivery and they put me on Labetalol. It did the job. No spike after the first week when it was 160-70/100's and went down VERY SLOWLY after that. I am now 4 months post pardum and been off Bp meds for about a month. if the procardia doesn't work ask about Labetalol. It seems like a lot of ladies here have been on it, or are on it and it does a pretty good job.
