Denise! So excited for you! And yes, you can do this, girl! I am one of those who truly believes that once you have one, the next one(s) are easier. I truly didn't find much difference between one little one and two; and when my 3rd rolled around it was no big deal. Yes, it is double the work, but also double the joy and it is alot of fun to see two interact. I also did it alone, and it was one of the best and happiest times of my life. The only thing I'd say is definitely do disposable diapers - HA!! I couldn't afford them; they were fairly new at that time, and I can still visualize huge mounds of cloth diapers and me sitting on the floor watching TV folding them, with the newborn laying beside me on a blanket and the 17-month old playing beside me.
We will give you as many pep talks as you need!!!! WooHoo!!!!!!

That's fantastic news, Denise! I know it might seem overwhelming to raise two kids on your own, but I know plenty of women who've done it with success. It sounds like you've got a great support system, which is wonderful! I will start collecting hallucinogens for you, maybe do a "drive" for you.

In the meantime, DH and I have shared the preggers news well before week 12 because we really wanted people to keep the three of us in prayer. We just kept the news to a smaller circle of people. Just a thought...

Congratulations, Denise! That's amazing news. :) Your little Gabrielle looks so happy on her photo - I'm sure you'll be a wonderful mom to her baby sibling too, especially with all the support you mention.
(Oh, and the transition from one to two children can feel scary even with a DH around... ;) ... you know, I've heard from many friends that having two close together gives them a playmate and even makes things easier in the long run...)
Good luck, wishing you a long and healthy pregnancy and I look forward to following your story here!
