Congratulations!! I am so glad that Miss Evelyn is doing so well!!

Ask for something for the itching - I had the same problem with the morphine and asked the nurse about it. I have no idea what they gave me but it worked great!

Get some rest!

Thanks everyone! I am on a higher dose of mag. now, so I'm pretty woozy, but otherwise I feel great!

Evelyn Julia was born via c-section at 12:35pm on April 30th. She is 34w1d and weighs 4 pounds, 8 ounces, about 17.5" long - a stringbean! She is doing so amazing that she didn't even have to go to the NICU!!!!! I know there is still a chance she might have to, but for the time being she is just perfectly healthy. She even latched on for a little earlier. :) I did have her sent to the nursery (I didn't even know they had one at this hospital, but I guess they do for the special-care mamas) while DH brings Mason to our friends' house for the night. I tried to take a nap but I am so itchy from the morphine that it didn't work. I'm still so dizzy from the mag, lack of sleep, and anesthesia that I don't really want to be alone with her for too long yet.

Other than the dizziness, I feel great! The painkillers helped my headache finally, and my incision pain isn't too bad. I am just so happy and fortunate that it's hard to fathom! DH and I are over the moon and so in love with our little girl. I will post some pictures tomorrow! Thanks for all the well wishes and months of support and guidance!
