I started with elevated pressures at 23 weeks with my first pregnancy and ended up on bedrest at 30 weeks, induced at 36-37 weeks with severe PE.
This pregnancy --- just hit 35 weeks today, and it has been TOTALLY uneventful!!! It is possible!!

Hoping I am not sticking my foot in my mouth here, and jinxing myself...But, I am 34 weeks and 3 days, and so far, so good.

I had severe PE and HELLP in one pregnancy, mild PE in another, and too many miscarriages in between. I was actually told after we lost Payton at 26 weeks in 2007 with severe PE that I should never try again, and that I should really consider having my tubes tied. I did not want to hear that, and sought the help of a specialist. Payton, two miscarriages, and this baby girl are all from my husband. So, there is proof that each pregnancy is different, every woman is different. And in my opinion, it is all the hands of someone much more powerful than I.

I know it is scary, but hang in there. I am so glad that we took this chance.

So far my experience has been different from the first. With my first, I developed severe PE very quickly and delivered right at diagnosis at 32w2d.

This time, I was diagnostic for mild PE at 29w1d, and have been in and out of the hospital limping along for 5 weeks! If I stay relatively stable, we will deliver at 37 weeks, otherwise we're just waiting for my symptoms to get worse and it's anyone's guess.

I am getting my tubes tied when I have my c-section. :)

I had early on-set PIH (diagnosed at 30 weeks) with my first and I've had absolutely no bp / PIH issuse with my second (I'm currently 37 weeks). I have been extra paranoid this time around, though. :-)

I had a great second pregnancy. Gained forty pounds, no morning sickness. Easy labor.

Pregnancy 1 & 2 were very rough for me-- "borderline" PE with #1, PIH with #2 with a very bad outcome. BUT, I'm in pregnancy #3 now, and it's been smooth sailing, health-wise, so far!

It seems pretty rare huh? I don't blame you for asking out loud.
I feel like adding myself this this growing list to share...I happen to be one of the VERY fortunate ones that made it to 38 weeks and PE, PIH, HELLP FREE to boot!!!
And only reason she came @ 38 and not 39-40 wks was because baby was due on Thanksgiving and my dr was taking a holiday, so we did it a week earlier than planned.
Never loose hope :o)
