the mag is probably a precaution. My bps with Izzy were all over the place in the hospital and not consistently high, but they put me on mag just in case...but stopped it early, about eight hours after birth bc my bps were behaving themselves. Glad to hear you have a date....yayyyyy! almost there!

Wendy,

I guess he wants mag because my BP has been pretty labile at times and can spike pretty high. I suppose he's doing it to prevent any possibility of problems. I can ask him about it tomorrow. Anyone else with thoughts on why he may want to do mag for sure?

With mine, the planned c/s was a breeze compared to the emergency one...I was nursing him withing 40 minutes of his birth :) I'm sure you will do great...I am confused as to why your OB has already determined that you will be on mag?
Not much longer :) Yay!!!

Wow, you had better rest up!!!

I am sure that a scheduled C-section will be much easier for you.

Take care and I look forward to reading your birth story.

Hooray Kathy! Monday!!! Oh my goodness - if your section goes the way of mine with Ella, it will be night and day from your first. Having my wisdom teeth out was more painful, by a long shot. I felt great; hopefully, you will too! I can't wait to hear that he's arrived.

Hi Kathy! I remember being so excited when I knew I was in the home stretch with Noah! Many good wishes and blessing your way. By the way I am a Louisiana girl as well! I sent you an email to see where you are from.
Prayers and Best Wishes!

Oh Kathy, I'm so glad you've made it this far and how exciting to have a birthday in sight! You have done so great, what a big boy already 7 lbs! I also had a general anesthetic with my c-section so I am totally with you on looking forward to being awake and present for the delivery, it will be so much easier of a recovery from what I've heard.
