Wanted to inform you that my nurse called today and said I had to delete all caffine and sodium intake- they will see me again on the 29th.
I informed them that I'm still swelling and having a hard time breathing.
They will re test all labs on the 29th and said if my levels decrease again they will decrease my work.
Pray for me.... don't want to be on bedrest for the next 15 or so weeks.

Re : Pregnant Again- 20 weeks
I'm not sure about all the tests. The ones I remember getting were CBC's and AFT's ? LFT's? Liver function tests anyway. You'd think I would remember having worked in a lab before and getting tested so often last pregnancy! They normally shouldn't take till Friday unless they have to send them out to another lab. Mine always came back within hours (and I lived in Juneau, AK).

How long does it usually take to get the blood work back? The lady in the lab said Friday. I would think they would try to rush it- but maybe I'm wrong.
My BP was ok and urine was ok today. It's these darn headaches that are killin me. All day and won't go away with tylenol- I have taken 4 tylenol today and it hasn't phased it at all.
What do they normally test on the blood test? It looked like platelet, uric acid, metabolic somthing....
Just wondering if that's normal stuff :)

Re : Pregnant Again- 20 weeks
I sent an email to my Nurse today letting her know of all the things that have happened- and how I have had a headache everyday for the past week or longer. I will test my urine again when I get home today and see how it is.
I hate feeling like this.
On the floater and star thing- I know that was out of the ordinary and it's happened twice in the past week.

Re : Pregnant Again- 20 weeks
I dont know if I said it or not- but yesterday I didn't feel real good- had a horrible headache and then last night was real tired- had a lot of swelling last night.
Today I feel better (no headache yet) but I went to lunch today and as I was driving I saw spots in the road- black ones- it was weird.
I don't feel like my BP is up- but I am swollen a little today.
What do you think?
I know I shouldn't care what the office thinks of me- but I just spoke to my nurse yesterday and I feel like I will be bugging if I call. [:(]

Re : Pregnant Again- 20 weeks
Amanda,
Mine has gone from negative to +1 this pregnancy but my 24 hour came back at 182. So, I'm sure it was all fluid intake related. The +1 was an early morning appointment and I had only drank one cup of milk with breakfast before leaving home and bet that is what skewed the results. I was glad to get a 24 hr urine anyway in case the time comes that we need a baseline. So, yes the dipsticks can go back and forth and are not very reliable as to true protein values because of the fluid variable.

Re : Pregnant Again- 20 weeks
I purchased the test strips yesterday and it's showing as a Trace... but the outer edges are the green color of the +1 category.
I felt pretty tired yesterday and bp readings haven't been high.
I am definitely swelling- but I guess there's not much that can be done if I'm not spilling more protein and my BP's aren't high.
Have you guys expreienced that you get diff. readings on the test strips at different times of the day? Is that normal?
This morning when I did the test it read negative.
I just wondered.
Thanks- for your support
I promise I'm keeping a close eye.
