I thought I would share a song that has been helping me, helping me feel peace, I love this song, feel free to find it on youtube to hear the actual notes, It is "Sweep over my Soul" by Luciano(reggae singer)

Sweep over my soul
Sweep over my soul
Though the roving life get rough
Jah Jah sweep over my soul
Bingi vibes sweep over my soul
Sweep over my soul
Though the builder’s roll tempers blow
(Sweep over my soul)
Jah Jah sweep over my soul

Every day every moment
I will sing a song of praise to HIM
Hail the king of kings (Hail the king of kings)
Every day I will rise, every morning I will sing
Every evening I will lift my voice
With my voice and praise higher higher

Oh lord Sweep over my soul
Sweep over my soul
Though the builder’s roll tempers blow
(Sweep over my soul)
I hear a voice callin from somewhere out there
A voice is singin from somewhere in my head
And I know that I must rise
And sing my heart and pray
And sing for Jah Jah all my days

I say sweep over my soul ooh
Sweep over my soul
Though the roamin gets tough
And the goin get rough
Gethsemane Gethsemane Gethsemane
Oh ohh I shall live I ver and see The holy One

Until the end of creation (Gethsemane)
And I shall sing songs of redemption (Gethsemane)
Song of praise and influence (Gethsemane)
I claim (Gethsemane) in my position (Gethsemane)
In creation in (Gethsemane) the son of the Almighty Jah
Behold in His glory manifest (Gethsemane)
In me forever and Iver

Oh lord Sweep over my soul
Sweep over my soul.........

this song reminds me of the oldies song "only the good die young". About 2 weeks after losing Mason, I heard this song on the radio and nearly landed in a ditch it made me cry so hard. Anyways, for some reason whenever I hear "if I die young" it makes me just as sad...

I actually LOVE that song (especially the line about 'lord send me a rainbow i'll shine down on my mother..') but dh isn't a fan of it and i can understand how it can go either way. I am sorry you are having a rough time, hopefully there are lots of rainbows coming your way soon.

I haven't heard that song and thought about googling it... but I think best not.

This road is so difficult and filled with two steps forward one step back. It's been almost four years since I last held my daughter and there are still days that knock me down... they are fewer and farther between, but still there and I think maybe always will be, and perhaps that's ok.... maybe it's the price of loving and missing someone so fully.

Thinking of you and hoping beautiful rainbows find you today.

If I Die Young

I have successfully avoided this song for about a year, but it found me this evening as I watched The Voice. I then spent the next hour torturing myself by listening to it over and over.

Just when I think I'm doing okay, I am reminded that I will never be.
