Jasmin I will be thinking of you and your family all day. I hope that it is a peaceful one. I remember that song so well from when I was little, I loved it then, and I still do. ((HUGS))

Jasmine it will be is the worst feeling because I been through it about 6 months ago. But you will feel better because now your baby will be resting with the angels. I remember that I couldnt even see a woman pregnant or a new born and thanks god, I am back...because I had to if not I would get very sick. I thought positive and said my Angel will protect me when we try again. Thinking about you, and if you have to cry than cry because crying is very good. You tend to let it all out if not you can get sick ok sweety..xoxoxoxoxo

I did something like that at my sons service. We had a few photo books and slide show and music playing. We did a celebration of Benjamins life, his dadddy played bass and I sang two songs for our little boy.The day of the service I woke up so nervous, but it was beautiful, all of it.Tomorrow will be 1 month since we lost him.In his 3 and a half months here he touched so many lives.I know and undestand how you are feeling.I will be thinking of you all tomorrow.xo

I'm going to cry. I have been thinking of you all week. Your baby's due date is Friday this week, mine's is Friday next week, exactly one week apart. To think that we should have been having our babies now. The dates that seemed so far away in January are finally here but our babies aren't and it's just not fair. Had things been different we would now be prepared, excited, nervous. The room decorated. Clothes in the drawers. Shower gifts put away. Relatives on stand-by. Hearts full of love, bellies full of promise. Oh how I wish that were the case!
There's nothing else to say that will give you any comfort, I know this, so I will just say I hope you have a wonderful memorial for Baby Blue tomorrow.

Funeral Is Tomorrow

Postby riehlism » Thu Sep 16, 2010 06:08 pm

I delivered our son in June. We wanted to wait until his due date for his funeral. Tomorrow is finally it. I'm worried about tomorrow because I can just feel the intensity of what's about to happen. I was preparing a photobook for him about a month ago. In it there are ultrasound pictures, footprints, and pictures taken after his birth. I also included excerpts of songs that I felt were fitting. I found this one version of Rainbow Connection, and it surprisingly does the situation justice.

Here's the last verse and the link to a youtube video.

Have you been half asleep and have you heard voices?
I've heard them calling my name.
Is this the sweet sound that called the young sailors.
The voice might be one and the same.
I've heard it too many times to ignore it.
It's something that I'm supposed to be.
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection.
The lovers, the dreamers and me.
