Thank-you so much to each and every one of you. Its an amazing amount of support you can find here - the stories helped me last year and the forum is doing it for me this year. Just when you think you are alone...this proves we aren't.
Special thank-you to mom2ella Nikkole for submitting her story about cute little Ella (which is now posted on www.babieswithnec.com - Caitlyns' Wish). Jill is also planning to submit her story about beautiful Faith too. Thanks again! Elaine

Elaine,
I thought I was reading my old post. I also delivered at 28 weeks due to severe PE and HELLP. My daughter's name was also Kaitlyn. She lived for 20 days and passed away from NEC. I am so sorry for the loss of your Caitlyn. What a great site to honor your daughter. Thank you so much for sharing.

I am so, so sorry for your loss of Caitlyn. What a wonderful tribute to your daughter, I am definitely going to look at it more. Thank you, I'm sure the site will really help others.

My daughter, Faith, was born at 30wks due to PE and at 3lbs3ozs, everyone was positive things would be fine. There was always that possibility of something, but 30wks was great. She developed NEC after 2wks and lived almost another 2wks (after 3 surgeries and multiple transfusions). It is a horrible disease. You think you made it through one horrible experience (PE), to get hit with another.......

Take care, thinking of you and Caitlyn.

Elaine,
I am so sorry about your loss. I also my lost my daughter to NEC when she was 21 days old. She was battling other things with prematurity but we thought she was at least doing well with her feeds. It came on so quick. She made it through 2 surgeries in one day and passed away that night. It's heart wrenching. I will check out your website...thank you for developing it. Thinking of you and Caitlyn and my Ella. (((HUGS)))
