By itself, it probably won't be a concern. If you have a number of other symptoms, it will be taken into account as part of the whole picture of your health. Protein has actually been determined to be a less important symptom. It's still something they keep an eye on, but you don't have to have it at all to still have PE, and you can have 10,000+ and still not need to deliver if other symptoms are still decent.

Interesting. This baseline was done later than a typical baseline was done (22 weeks 2 days) because I had to switch providers after 18 weeks. I wonder if my new OB, who ordered it, will treat it as a typical baseline given how high it is.

When they run a baseline, they want to see if/how much protein you spill regularly. Some of us do spill quite a bit due to a bit of kidney damage from our previous pregnancies. They won't worry too much until you hit 300mg over your baseline, so in your case, around 550.

23 weeks 24 hour urine result 262. History of Pre-e

Postby amanda.carroll » Sat Aug 12, 2017 01:45 pm

I am 23 weeks into my 3rd pregnancy. I developed pre-e around 33 weeks with my first and delivered at 35 weeks. I developed pre-e at about 35 weeks with my second and delivered at 37 weeks.

My OB ordered a base line 24 hour urine, which I completed on Wednesday. The results came back yesterday, Friday, and it was 262. My BP readings have been higher at this stage than in my previous pregnancies. I guess my question is: Does a 262 24 hour urine result at 23 weeks mean I am going to hit the 300 Preeclampsia number soon? This is the first time I've had a baseline urine done. With my previous pregnancies it wasn't ordered until my BP numbers were getting higher consistently.

I see my doctor on Monday, but I am concerned.
