I was told by my doctor that lovenox can cause headaches, but also pregnancy and headaches are also common. I would for sure get her to talk to her doctor ASAP just because you don't want to leave anything to chance.

Lovenox Question

Postby jjones1333 » Sat Feb 16, 639269 11:07 pm

My sister is currently pregnant with her first. She does not have and autoimmune disorders, but had a blood clot 2 1/2 years ago. They thought she had protein c & s defieicney, but turned out to be a false positive. The doctors have her on lovenox right now because she has low protein s, but not a deficiency, plus my history with pree and elevated liver enzymes. She is about 14-15 weeks and having really bad headaches. We are thinking its from the lovenox. Could lovenox cause headaches? Of course we asked her about her bp. She said its still in normal range, but high for her. Before she was pregnant she ran a bp of 100-105/55. Now it is about 125/82. Its on the higher end of normal, but a lot higher than her normal. Her next appointment isn't until jan 8th I think. Shes calling her doctor tomorrow (monday). But I am a little worried. She is overweight (200+) and has really bad back problems where she was actually supposed to have surgery. This pregnancy is going to be tough for her already. Any advice? Could she be heading towards pre-e?
