I had the full heart work up. Nothing is wrong. Outside of pregnancy my heart rate is around 80's resting. Working out (running) can be 190's. So we have come to the conclusion that I do have a high heart rate. In pregnancy I get the racing heart but not every day. Resting in pregnancy my HR is around 100. Maybe low 90's. Is it true that you go to ER if its 120?

I have this far more this time than in any of my previous pregnancies--sometimes up to 125-130 WHILE RESTING. I talked about it at length with my OB, and she assured me it's all ok, but I wouldn't DEFINITELY say you want to check it out with your care provider.

That happened to me a few nights back as I was laying in bed. Is it related to the increased blood flow due to the pregnancy?

My heart races periodically during pregnancy. I have had it with all of mine and each time have had a full cardiac work up. Nothing ever shows up as being wrong. Hopefully, yours is the same as mine, a total fluke.

you can check it, to see what it is. Most heart rates are around 72, pregnancy will raise it around 10 beats per minute. it is officially called tachycardia at 100 beats per minute, and it is time to head to the ER if you get near 120. I hope you're not getting that high!

I had a ton of this during my last pregnancy. Plus lots of palpitations. I think it was related to my pre-e. I haven't had it as much this time, but still do periodically. Mostly just palpitations this time though.

My heart did some weird stuff when I was pregnant with #2. I had palpitations, a lot of them for a long time and my heart felt like it was beating really hard and fast sometimes. I had an EKG and echo and everything was normal, just pregnancy stuff.

Racing Heart

Postby l412angel » Sun Aug 18, 638948 5:52 pm

So I have been experiencing a racing heart, normally when I am either laying down or just sitting there. It only happens Id say like twice a week if that. It lasts for a few beats thats it. My doctors are aware. Any one experience this?

Before I got pregnant again I had a EKG, Stress test and 2d Echo...everything was normal.
