Re : How high did YOU go???
Brandi no thats totally fine. That is a question I ask myself daily. I think my body was too sick for her and my pressures were too high. I was said to have low amniotic fluid as well. I guess I will never really know.

Wow---Kbielec! How is Anabelle???
Re : How high did YOU go???
I felt fine, went in for an ultra sound at 24 weeks had a reading of 200/100 the nurse freaked took it a few more times and it was climbing. Was put in the hospital right then, after resting it came down and was "ok" in the 130's/90 for about a week and a half (no swelling, no feeling poorly) on a Friday nigth I woke up with HORRIBLE pain and throwing up...after 6 hours of shots for the throwing up and being told to rest they did blood work, needless to say it was HELLP and Annabelle arrived an hour later...I was in bad shape, 5 days in ICU. It came on that quickly...because I had been "fine" and so had the baby and my dopplers and everything...post baby they discovered the blood clotting disorders but I have no other lasting issues, kidneys, liver everything fine. I am not pregnant at the moment, but TTC and my BP's are between 107-117 over 70-77...

Riehlism I know you lost your son, and Laura, I know you lost Cara Angel. I can't imagine your hurt. One question I have though ( and if you don't want to answer that is perfectly alright) if your placenta didn't abrupt.....what happened????
Re : How high did YOU go???
I don't know how high it actually went but the highest reading I saw was 200/112 and that was on mag and hydralazine, I really think it went higher but I was too incoherent to pay attention. No abruption.
Pre-pregnancy and throughout my ENTIRE pregnancy it ran 110/70.
I am 1 yr pp and now chronic and on low dose bp med.

235/115. No placental abruption. I have no residuals from PE or HELLP.

Re : How high did YOU go???
I landed in the ER one morning and after laying down for 1/2 hour my BP was 198/112. I have no idea what it was when I first came into the ER but it was apparantly high enough for the nurse to triage me in front of other patients and make me use a wheelchair.
The doc at the ER sent me home with my last BP reading being 168/105. I was back in L&D the next day with resting BPs of 170s/110s. Thank goodness I found this forum the afternoon I came home from the ER and learned exactly what high blood pressure meant!

Re : How high did YOU go???
My highest was 205/158. My pressures remained elevated throughout the rest of my pregnancy even on 1200mg of Lebetalol and Norvasc. Today my BP hovers around 150's over 110's and my medecine was just switched to Propanalol and Hctz. I'm chronic now. I never had an abruption.
Re : How high did YOU go???
180/120 that I know of. I did have a placental abruption but my pressures were lower at that time because I was on mag.
