Crystal, You did not cry wolf..those bps were taken by a doctor and your peri is the one who told you to come..you didn't just show up. Give yourself a break, you being there is the right thing. I agree that before you are discharged you should get up and walk around the unit and have them check bps then. XO

You are certainly NOT an idiot or a freak and going in was the safe thing to do. None of us *want* to be admitted, we just want what is best for us and for our babies. We don't think you were silly. (((HUGS)))

Crystal, no one ever died from seeing the doctors too many times. And labile pressures that oscillate from high to low are a known characteristic of the disease. The safe thing to do is always to get checked out and I'm really glad you went in; you're taking good care of that little baby.

Keep us posted as you're able.

Before you leave will they have you get up and walk around the unit a bit to see how your bp does? Are you currently confined to bed? If you ask will they also check your bp with you sitting up?

I don't mind them taking my blood pressure laying down at all. I just feel like an idiot for making such a huge deal out of what they are considering "nothing" I know those blood pressures weren't wrong but they are adamant that they were. So makes me look kinda silly. I feel like they think I'm some kinda of freak who wants to have PE and be admitted.. the girl who cried wolf. :(

Crystal - I just read this! PRAYERS for strength, courage, and time coming your way!!!!!

Like Wendy said in the initial posting, I too felt it when others were praying for me.

They've almost always measured my BP laying down in the hospital. BUT - they also take my home BP measurements seriously.

Here's to some more cooking time for baby Jack!!!!!
