Thank you for the warm welcomes! I look forward to participating between Jessica's college life, Arianna's senior year, AJ's preschool and Jaden's baby days, which are all going way too fast:)

And 40 really isn't that bad, not that I would have time notice!

Hi! I have been a silent lurker on the forums for much too long! DSL has finally made it to the MN backwoods country, so I can now have a voice. I have read the forums faithfully, but could never contribute from the office. I am a forty year old(yikes)mom of four beautiful kids. My girls are now 20 and 17, and while I didn't have picture perfect pregnancies with them, I don't believe I had preeclampsia. Fast forward 14 years. I developed preeclampsia with my son in 2003. He was delivered by c-section in October 2003 at 37 weeks. I had a great ob, who monitored me very closely. In May 2006 I delivered another son at just shy of 35 weeks. I had been seeing a peri, out of town and my bp at the last appointment was 196/120. They rushed me to the nearest hospital, and did a c-section within hours. Had I not found this forum while I was pregnant in 2003, I'm not sure I would have understood how serious preeclampsia is, or been aware of what to watch out for. I know I am extremely lucky to have my two healthy sons. Now that I am "online", I look forward to actively participating!
