Re : Does severity of Class=higher risk for reocurrance

I'm confused...on that link that you posted Caryn, it says the reocurrance is 40% but then it says "Based on our studies with HELLP, recurrence rate is always <5% even
for those who develop it at <28 weeks". So is it 40% or 5%? (Sorry for my confusion!)

Re : Does severity of Class=higher risk for reocurrance

Oh, ok..I thought the class level that you had made you more susceptible to it later on.
Do you know of any web sites that discuss the likelihood of it's return in regards to when it hit in gestation? Mine was 28 weeks..(I don't think that's good....)

Is HELLP similar to allergies?

<t>Is HELLP similar to allergies? I worry because with my allergies, personally, I seem to get MORE allergic with each exposure. That scares me. (for future pregnancies)<br/> And my body hates everything. Even bodily fluids seem like an irritant. (Which makes me wonder about if that's why HELLP set ...

Re : What is maternal morbidity statistic?

<t>You think so? That would sure make me feel better. I guess it just really scares me that someone died of HELLP in the hospital here (there is a population of about 107,000 in my town-so not huge..not teeny though either). <br/> I guess I feel like I have a little more control in a car accident (m...

Re : What is maternal morbidity statistic?

Yes, I meant mortality-thank you for the correction! And thank you for the information as well!
I heard that someone died of HELLP in the last year at my local hospital, and that scared me too. :~(

What is maternal morbidity statistic?

<t>Does anyone know what the maternal morbidity statistic is? I found a site that says it is up to 25%, but for one thing, it is an old article, and secondly, what does "up to" mean? Most statistics I see are just a blantant number. (A person would assume that it's only an "X" amount chance that it ...
