Re : PTSD

<t>Well, my DD is now nearly 13, and I still sometimes on her birthday will feel tears looming for so much that we lost. She was in NICU for two months -- not because she was early (well, 37 weeks) but because the delivery was so mishandled that she didn't get enough oxygen and her large intestine d...

Hallelujah! Great news!

Now, you take care of yourself, too. Gotta respect that c-section!

Re : complications

<t>Have you had an echocardiogram? (that's what I do for a living) Loud heart murmurs in post-partum cardiomyopathy probably indicate that one of the heart valves is leaking, common in this condition. Does your perinatologist have you on lipid-lowering agents or some of the heart meds to keep heart ...

Re : to rice or not to rice that is the ?

<t>My DD was three weeks early, but at just short of four months, she already had two teeth and was grabbing food off my plate and trying to get it to her mouth. We definitely wanted to wait due to severe allergies that we'd already identified on her part, but she was clearly more interested in my f...

Re : Epigastric pain, How long does it last?

Gall bladder issues are quite common after delivery, so yeah, I'd get it checked out. Epigastric pain can be so many things (not all related to the pre-e), so worth checking into for sure!

Re : Mag Sulfate question

<t>I just remember holding entire conversations with people who weren't there. I was on it for a total of 86 hours, except for the couple of hours when they took me off because of toxicity. I needed it desperately, though, as I would have seized without it, I was so hyper-reflexic. And my DD was als...

Re : Need everyone's input

<t>I buy Spenco compression pantyhose and even wear them with dresses. I had lymphedema w/my HELLP and pre-e thirteen years ago and it never went away (that's what happens when you have such bad pitting edema for so long, I guess). They're about $16 at the local drugstore and are comfortable -- I we...
