your feelings/pg symptoms in pre-e/hellp pregnancies

In all of my pregnancies, I've had little to no symptoms whatsoever. In my first pregnancy, I felt NO symptoms. No nausea, didn't look pregnant, didn't feel any different than normal. Later on (with my successful pg) I felt nauseaus 1x......... I also was having heart palpaltations and felt a little...

Re: Can Scoliosis cause this disease?

Thanks! I wish you the best as well! I'm glad that I can offer hope/help to others! My first pregnancy ended up so devastating....I am forever "damaged" from the whole experience (PTSD), however I am so very grateful to have our 2nd born survive..

Can Scoliosis cause this disease?

I just found out I have Scoliosis...I was wondering if having it has any impact on pregnancies that could cause pre-e/hellp..

Re: Outcomes after first preg. w/sPE + deliv. before 34 week

I'm not sure if my first was a decent sized kiddo or not...he was behind in growth a week..born at 29 wks at 2lbs 1 oz.......then with my second he was decent sized, but was FT...so if we were to try for a third, would it still be best for us to try to get pg within 26 mos of the previous pg?

Can it skip generations?

I think I've discovered where my HELLP came from. My great grandmother lost many babies...once she had a stillborn child and she had gone into convulsions. My grandmother, however, had 3 children without any issues whatsoever. My mom had pre-e with me, and I had HELLP. So is that possible to randoml...

Oooh..rust colored urine is a bad sign. I had that when I had gone into HELLP. I would talk to your doctor again...that makes me very nervous...

Re: starting to show cardiovascular disease problems

Rosalinda, did you see a heart specialist? I need to do that as well. I have weird palpaltations..I asked my normal doc about it, but he said if we can't catch the palpaltations on a device (because they are sporadic) that nothing could be done. :( I'm glad you are being proactive..that's really imp...

Re: What Should Nurses Do for Preeclampsia Patients?

Take your patients seriously. Do not dismiss their complaints/worries as something that might just be "normal" for pregnancy. Preeclamptic patients would rather be safe then sorry. And not be made to feel foolish for bringing up how they are feeling or for their concerns.
