Re: Preeclampsia - to many precauntions?

Hello and welcome. I am glad to hear that the doctors are being so cautious and are keeping your wife for observation (and no, they are not being overly cautious). Preeclampsia can move very fast, so don't be surprised if suddenly the doctors will announce that it is time for delivery. Have the doct...

Re: Dosage of low dose aspirin?

81mg is the dosage of LDA (low-dose aspirin) and was the amount I was taking.anything higher would not be low-dose. I would ask your doctor if you are uncertain. I would be curios of his/her answer. I have not heard of a recommendation other than 81mg. do you have a link of this article/recommendati...

Re: savage return of pe

I am so sorry that PE cut short your pregnancy :-( I don't have answers to your questions re dropping platelets, but I am sure somebody will chime in soon. How is your sweet baby doing? And how are you doing? Sending you hugs.

Re: Im so scared!

Welcome to the forums. I am sorry you lost your firstborn. I lost my soon too and it was the most heartbreaking and hardest to ever endure. It is only natural that you are scared. All of us, who experienced PE/HELLP are worried, scared, panicked in a subsequent pregnancy. There is unfortunately noth...

Re: IVF and Pre-e and HELLP

One of the risks with any ART including IVF is the risks of mulitples, which then in turn also increases the risk of PE/HELLP (especially for those who had PE/HELLP in a previous pregnancy). More placenta means more risk. For those who do IVF and are already at higher risk for PE due to a previous P...

Re: Can Pre-Eclampsia 'Fluctuate' in the Beginning?

I am glad you posted your question and asked. As Lauren said there are different ways that women experience the onset of PE. My BP (I just know it from the second time around), would only spike very occasionally, and not even much (below the threshold of 140/90). But those "higher" pressures got mor...

Re: Merry Christmas

Holidays are always difficult, especially the first one. I always handled such days best if I expected to struggle at some point. I allow myself to take some time to grieve, whatever that would entail. Sometimes I prefer to be alone, at other times I seek company. Grief changes over time and so does...
