Re: 34 weeks and pre-e signs.
I find your pressures quite high to be at home. Do you take any medication? And did your care providers give you BP readings that warrant a call to the on-call doc or at what point you should be heading in? I'd call the doc if your pressures are consistently in that range and ask to be seen and moni...

Protein is no longer needed for diagnosing preeclampsia as far as I know. I am a bit concerned that you were sent home with these high pressures, especially with a history of PE. How are you doing now?

Re: Advice for second pregnancy after preeclampsia
It is very scary to even think about another pregnancy after experiencing PE! The best advice I can give is to seek a consultation with an MFM (maternal fetal medicine specialist or high-risk OB) before TTC. S/he will go over your medical history including your previous pregnancies, and will discuss...

Re: Loss of my Angelica
I am so sorry you lost your precious little baby. There is nothing worse for a mother or father than losing a child. After I lost my firstborn I started seeing a counselor who has helped me cope. It was a hard path to walk, and I wish you and your family all the strength to find our footing again. T...

Re: anxiety :(
I am so sorry you are experiencing anxiety. I still have to deal with it from time to time (e.g. show me a cuff and I get sweaty hands and nervous). It helped me to develop coping strategies and seeing a counselor was my psychological lifesaver. Perhaps it would be something to consider? Many PE lad...

Congratulations! So happy to hear that baby is doing well. I hope your docs will soon find the right kind of meds to stabilize your BP. It might take a while though and could include med and dosage changes.

Re: New Here, 34w 1d 3rd time
I had mostly amazing doctors with my second pregnancy, but there was one young and eager one who always gave me the feeling as if I was asking to check into a luxury hotel. It was so annoying. Thankfully, all others overruled her, so I could stay! I am so sorry that you are dealing with this! I wond...

Re: We lost our baby to severe pre-eclampsia and HELLP
I am so very happy to hear about your new addition. And thank you for reporting back! I know from my own experience how difficult such a subsequent pregnancy can be with all the extra monitoring, and cautious lifestyle and anxiety and fears. I hope that the blood pressure will resolve soon and that ...

Re: When to try again?
I would ask the OB why specifically you should wait that long. it sounds like the standard answer. does s/he know you require IVF? docs can forget such details. you might want to consider a second opinion, plus a consult with an MFM due to your history of PE.
