Re : home from the hospital with ?'s

<t>The protein could still be there, just not enough to diagnose pre-eclampsia (300mg). My midwife has the attitude thatt less than 300mg is "nothing to worry about". Mine was 284mg at my last catch and that was the exact phrase she used. My OB was more concerned, especially in combination withmy ot...

Re : how long for labetelol to kick in?

<t>it sucks that you're having such a hard time of it. The labetalol used to kick in pretty quickly for me - within a half an hour or so. But, since my pressures have been increasing I've noticed that it does take longer to work. Here lately it's been an hour or so before I start to notice any diffe...

How long until your pressures increased?

<t>I started spiking really high BPs at 27 weeks. I am now at 32 weeks and just got out of the hospital after spending the weekend there getting my BP meds adjusted.<br/> <br/> I am on Labetalol - 400 mgs a day - and my sitting BPs are in the 150s/90s consistantly. If I'm laying down they are perfec...

Re : Pee Hostage- UPDATED!!! FREE!

<t>Yay! I was discharged today too with a 280. My BP while sitting is still high - 150s/90s so I'm on bedrest again. When my sitting BPs reach 160s/100s consistantly or my office dips are 3+ I will be spending some more time in the hospital but my OB is very pleased that we made it to 32 weeks today...

Re : Pee Hostage- UPDATED!!! FREE!

<t>I am in the exact same situation! I went to my OB on Friday and was sent to L&D for labs and a 24 hour urine. I was supposed to get out yesterday but I didn't pee enough for the 24 hour. Who knew that could happen? I bought myself another night and the nurses have been pouring water down my t...

Re : Some helpful advice.....

I had take mine off a couple of weeks ago. It was either that or fight with them all the time. My hubby offered to buy me a cheapie ring a couple sizes too big to see me through. :)

Re : BP experiment (BP rise with activity)

<t>My doctor told me that my call in #s were 160/100 too and that if I got a reading over either one of the numbers to rest for 15 minutes and take them again. Typically my BP #s follow a very similiar pattern of dropping about 10 points every 10-15 minutes. (I was curious too before I went on meds ...

Re : What time of day do you get your highest reading?

I usually run any errands in the morning so then I spike around noonish. On days I don't run errands I'm highest in the evening right before my dose of BP meds.

I'm so relieved!

<t>I had my NST and ultrasound (BPP) on Monday and everything looks great. The baby is measuring right on for 31 weeks and my blood pressure is being controlled on the medication so far. <br/> <br/> I was concerned when the midwife stepped in and told me since everything looks fine for now that I di...
