Re : Menstrual Cycles

I never noticed anything different except I had more cramps after my first baby. I think it is very normal for your period to change heaviness and duration after pregnancies.

Re : 2nd trimester dip?

With my second prepregnancy I was 115/65. By 8-10 weeks I was 150-160/85-90. By 18 weeks it was back to 120/70 and then began rising again from there. By the end of the pregnancy I was 165/100 reliably. Induced at 37 weeks. Never had bp meds. It took 4 months pp, but my bp is now 110/60 again.

Re : New here--paranoia or reason to worry?

<t>They probably call you chronic because your second pregnancy you had high bp before 20 weeks (that was the same with my second pregnancy- and my bp is perfect again after that birth as well). <br/> <br/> Losing a baby is one of the hardest things you can do. I am sorry for your loss. You are righ...

Re : Still dealing with bp after pih/hellp

<t>Just wanted to add to give yourself time! Don't go on a crazy diet or exercise plan (like you could right now, ha!). My bp was still high after birth and took almost 5 months to drop down to perfect. I didn't do anything special... and I still need to lose 50lbs! My bp was perfect before pregnanc...

Re : Im overdue

<t>My doctors (bp aside) said that Max they would let me go to is 42 weeks. That used to be normal. Now they are finding that as the placenta ages and the fluid decreases there are possible problems (not likely, but the possible problem percentage goes up with age past due date). So now most of the ...

Re : Really? Really? This is nuts...

<t>Hmmm. Don't know about the rest, but I was borderline this last pregnancy: High bp, swelling sporatically but getting worse, headaches daily- bad ones, visual problems... but my urine stayed under the magic 300 even while dipping lots of +2s. Dr finally induced at 37 weeks. <br/> <br/> Not fun th...

Re : I am new.

<t>Hm... Others did a great job, but here is my 2 cents:<br/> 1. What causes PreE... nobody is positive, but currently it is thought to have to do with the way the placenta attaches at the very beginning of the pregnancy and the blood flow to the placenta. <br/> 2. What can you do to avoid/stop it.....

Re : sent home :(

<t>My first thought was that they are trying to wait until 37 weeks on the dot. BUT... when my bp was 180/105 with my first the nurses were in slight panic mode trying to get it down. They certainly wouldn't let me leave. Fortunately I was in early labor so they let me continue. In fact, the doctor ...
